Will Turkey be ruled by a non-diffusible, uncontrollable, unmanageable, dark, closed, hierarchic, unquestionable tutelage enterprise, or by an elected political government?
The 17th of December operation has two dimensions, a lawful one and a political one. The lawful dimension based on misguidance and bribery, falsified documents. The law first focuses on focuses on acts, then bases its inter-subjectivity on them. Therefore in a lawful structure, the protection of some certain principes while placing the venue of principles within parenthesis, shouldn’t be allowed for going upon these speculations with these principles served to deepen the investigation to an extent that
would please the public opinion.
Other than the operation’s lawful dimension, it also has a political one. If only the speculations on misguidance are placed under the microscope, without viewing the political angle, the reality of the political engineering behind this crisis that we are face to face with would go unnoticed. Politics first looks to inter-subjectivity, and this intersubjective identity determines the principles. Thus no work on written on the operation can have the luxury of not mentioning these intersubjective principles. Whoever insists on bringing up the topic of the operation, just from the lawful perspective, indeed acts as an actor within the operation’s political engineering.
The new tutelage focus
In the public opinion, there are no doubts as to who set-up, orchestrated and brought the operation to life. The December 17th operation has carried the argument that has persisted over this past month to a whole new level; predictions, speculations and standings have come to a derailed state.
First off, some bureaucrats began acting based on their own self-interests instead of abiding by the priorities and the hierarchies of their foundations. Secondly, it signaled that the relationship of civil society with politics should not have stretched to one that abided to tutelage or political engineering. These two dimensions only express the forming of a new enterprise of tutelage that only serves to weaken and alienate democratic politics.
The December 17th operation showed how this mentality was in place
We face a closed, hierarchic, politically self-interested autonomous structure. This structure, from the where it stands, has attempted political engineering to have their agenda granted after weeks of threats they conducted an operation upon the elected government in an attempt to change the long and short term politics of the country by surprise.
An operation on the construction period
With its operation the 17th of December started a new period. This period has a global mentality, and this period is made by calculations with Turkey in mind. The period started on the 17th was done so redesign the predicted leadership of the New Turkey. The operation was made to undermine and place a leash on the Ak Pary and Erdogan shortly before elections, for they are the leading actors in the New Turkey.
Even though the Ak Party and Erdogan may be the initial targets of this operation, in actuality it places politics and the democratic system under threat. Until this structure is exposed and immobilized, democratic politics will not be secure. The fear caused by the operation will infect the political climate ruining social tranquility and political unity.
When viewed alongside the prior blows and those to come, the reality of the strategic plan is noticeable. All the strange developments and surprises of the last few days are related to one-another. The tentiones in Yuksekova, the speaches of Sarigul in Istanbul and Mansur Yavas in Ankara, the release of the CHP’s Mustafa Balbay while BDP parliamentarians remained arrested, Hakan Sukur’s resignation, the meeting between the CHP and the US ambassador, the release of all those arrested during the postmodern coup, all these events that upon first inspection seem non related are all in-fact a signal of the same plot.
The 17th of December period will be looked upon as an important breaking point in the future when the history of recent Turkey is being written. Short and medium term developments and the actors involved in them will be effected, the New Turkey will be defined by the government’s performance during this period.
The Ak Party should approach this operation by focusing on both the lawful and political dimensions of this operation while not neglecting one or the other. Those that respond to misguidance with misguidance and responsive political engineering will share the sin. The speculations on misguidance are just a camouflage for the political operation. While the Ak Party issues a response to this political engineering, they should free themselves from the allegations of misguidance, to banish the anxiety caused by the speculations.
On the other hand, the political engineering is an elephant in the room
The Ak Party is burdened with exposing and immobilizing this autonomous structure while remaining within the confines of the law. Immobilizing this structure, is as legitimate and necessary as the immobilization of Ergenekon, which symbolized the actors of tutelage.
The question that faces Turkey as of the 17th of December is evident:
Will Turkey be ruled by a non-diffusible, uncontrollable, unmanageable, dark, closed, hierarchic, unquestionable tutelage enterprise, or by an elected political government?
