A concept dominating centuries but without visiting humanity… Taking over hearts to establish dominance and superiority but without sheltering in conscience… Such a concept; dedicated to symbolize the hatred and then to aim to picture it on the humanity… Even its name is cold; independent from morality… Away from frankness, clarified from all positive qualities, describing the bad with a single word…
This being the case; which word was it that contains all these definitions? Doubtlessly we can fill the blank corresponding to this word with many words exist in the world and open to evil. But the one I mention is a wide concept that includes the existence of all those words… I’m mentioning “War”… And dominance of it that reaches today… What was war? What was it, so the humanity didn’t stop chasing it for centuries! Were they running to war or running away from humanity? Doubtlessly, war was a wide concept opening to pains and flaws…
Today, many pronunciations exist in this concept to which the entire world opposed, both in philosophical aspects and artistic or scientific aspects. With no doubt that these pronunciations formed the dialogues that kept the world agenda alive from past to today. Where their effect lasted from past to today… Where their effect turn into pain from smile… The sole word for which many philosophers, politicians, governors, economists, diplomats united within the circle of same pain… War… From where was this concept falling on earth? Which points were being echoed in hearts?
Carl Von Clausewitz… As everybody knows, he provided additions to literature with his works on which he determined strategic direction of international contemporary thoughts. When we look, there exist many analyses of him on wars which are still valid in world system. Clausewitz sees the war as a duel where the aim is disarming the enemy. On the other hand, he knows no logical limits on the use of force. But doubtlessly, use of force must be managed by intelligence. If we remember the existence of the sole system where all the balance on the earth is established on certain mathematics; war, meanwhile a cruel thing, in the end a human activity and the victory belongs to the actor who used its capacity in best way as a result of arrangements it made… Therefore, according to Clausewitz, war is an art without absolute limits where ambition and subjective talents do their part.
When we look, if war of civilized nations is much less cruel and destructive than wars of non-civilized nations, reason for this is social situations determining own relations and interrelations of these nations. It’s impossible not to agree with Clausewitz and with his real definitions accepted by the entire world! Moreover; a great martial commander is the one who can rise over the pressure of the condition and who possesses an absolute ambition to reach the victory. Wars become the subject of difficulties where the management of even ordinary tasks becomes difficult…
But war shouldn’t be considered as something that has an end within it. Execution of the war must be dependent on success of political purposes. In other words, it shouldn’t go beyond its purpose. Doubtlessly, was is a side playing a role in protection of health of national and international community but the ones who execute the war shouldn’t see it as a dominant power. Therefore, if we get to the core of war; it’s nothing more than a duel, but in a larger scale. To collect countless personal duels that form a war in a single concept, it’s appropriate to think of two wrestlers. Each of them tries to make the other one succumb to him. His closest purpose is to beat his rival and therefore terminate the entire resistance.
This means that, war is a movement of violence that forces the rival to accept our will. And when we look, we can see many different forms of war in the entire world today. Economic, artistic, technological and cultural wars… Central Asia is the unique sample of it in technological aspect… Two countries that technologically challenge the world, China and Japan! When we look, when Renaissance Europe reached Japan in 16th century, it began to have an admiration for this country. Japan was thought as a country rich of valuable metals. Gold plated temples told by Marco Polo and important effects of aboveground resources thanks to having a volcanic surface before the deep mines have been opened can be shown as a basis for this. Therefore, with its trade interactions with China, Central Asia is a hero hard to fight with, who is the world brand in technology!
And the question that should be asked today; wasn’t the biggest hegemonic indication were the power balances that represent the ceiling in economic statistics? Wasn’t economy was naming a formation that, not only with its power authorization, but also in political aspect, give direction to diplomatic systems? Therefore when we look, window of USA and Barrack Obama was forming a superior balance that is carrying economic literature on its own in 21st century… Despite it’s the most indebted country in the world in statistical tables, not only with its authorization to possess dollar, but also with its leadership in all economical activities it’s connected to, USA forms a hegemony powerful enough to avoid war in economy literature that harbors and systems economic strategies within its body and presents it in the world!
And Middle east; the most well-known dimension of wars… Incorrigible geography of earth… It recently displayed Israel & Palestine war on the earth as everybody knows… The ground where the pain never relieves… Israel caught in a desire of show of force… And the recent civil war of Syria, in conflict with its people, story of a country which is in war with itself and whose leader is lacking in conscientious aspects… What about Afghanistan that will not be forgotten… The window opening to it was a war dynamic executed by Bush, and conducted within the scope of fight against terrorism after September 11 attacks…
At this point, while the blood spilling dimension of the condition is dominant in 21st century, we are witnessing wars armed with inventions of science and art… This peaceful war strategy called the intelligence of 21st century provides additions not only to future of an intellectual world that develops and grows, but also to development of world horizon enlightened by humanity, and systematized to advancement. And it is hoped that, as a result, all war actions, forces will be broken free from claws of laws that push them to the full violence…
