Erdogan said officials from Turkish Armed Forces and delegations from NATO would decide where to deploy Patriot system in Turkey.
Replying reporters’ questions during his joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, Erdogan said that Turkey demanded Patriot missile defense system from NATO due to recent incidents in Turkey’s southern neighbor Syria, adding that officials from Turkey and NATO were examining the region in order to decide where to deploy the system.
Regarding Palestine’s application to UN to become a non-member observer state, Erdogan said that Turkey’s opinion in this issue was very clear, adding that Turkey was supporting Palestine.
Upon a question about Syria, Erdogan said that Turkey did not have any problem with Syrian people, adding that Turkey had problems with the regime in Syria. Erdogan noted that Turkey had spent more than 400 million USD so far.
