Russian Ambassador in Ankara Vladimir Ivanovsky, who was summoned to Turkish Foreign Ministry, has been informed that the Syrian passenger plane committed violation by carrying army materials.
According to received information from diplomatic officials, Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu met with Ivanovsky.
Meeting also covered the visiting schedule of senior officials of Turkey and Russia. Both sides agreed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Turkey on December 3.
The plane was grounded in the Turkish airspace while enroute to Damascus from Moscow with 37 passengers, 17 of whom a Russian foreign ministry spokesperson said were Russian nationals.
