Addressing AK Party parliamentarians during a fast-breaking (iftar) dinner at party headquarters, President Erdoğan underlined that Turkey has grown 3.5 times bigger over the past 16 years, and added: “Together again, we will make our country twice as big by 2023.”

Drawing attention to the unwavering stance displayed by members of the parliament against coup attempts and terrorist organizations, President Erdoğan said: “During this critical period our country is going through, we need the contributions of each and every single friend of ours whether they are at the parliament or not. We will hold our party’s Grand Congress and we will need our friends there, as well. In the new system of government, we will need our friends’ contributions in every field from ministries to high-ranking administrators. We will need to recall to duty our friends who have refreshed and reinvigorated themselves in the change of office following the next elections. Therefore, we request you to always stand ready for duty by renewing yourselves and always keeping your energy up. We, together with this cadre, have made Turkey grow 3.5 times bigger over the past 16 years. Together again, we will make Turkey grow two times bigger by 2023.”
