Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu has said that those who resisted oppression were on Turkey’s side.
Addressing parliamentarians on Sunday regarding his ministry’s budget for 2013, Davutoglu said he expected the Syrian Kurds to side with the Syrian opposition and resist against oppression.
Davutoglu called on the Syrian Kurds to side with the Syrian opposition and fight against oppression. He said, “Syrian Kurds, Syrian Arabs, Syrian Turkmens, whoever is standing up for oppression is with us, on our side. Those who are cooperating with oppressors, cooperating with the Assad regime are against us.”
“We will stand by the Palestinian people,” said Davutoglu in response to the criticism from the main opposition regarding Davutoglu’s Gaza visit.
Davutoglu also touched on the transformation in the Arab community and said, “We will be siding with the willpower of these people. Our attitude is clear; we will not be running after history, we will understand the flow of history and manage it.”
Regarding the deployment of Patriots, he said that Patriot missile defense systems were not permanent and once the ballistic missile threat was removed, they would be sent back.
