As part of the 3rd China International Import Expo in Shanghai on Nov. 7, 2020, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China Kanaiym Baktygulova attended the 13th Belt and Road Eco-Agricultural and Food Safety Forum.
In her speech, Ambassador Baktygulova spoke about the investment and export potential of the country, the legislative framework and tax policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the amenities created to attract foreign investment, the benefits of opening production facilities in Kyrgyzstan, promising directions in bilateral trade, economic and agricultural cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported Wednesday.
“The new government of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to improve the existing preferential policy for agricultural development in the regions of the country. Chinese investors need to take advantage of these favorable conditions created by the Kyrgyz Government to launch joint Kyrgyz-Chinese organic agriculture projects and promote the export of organic agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to China,” she said.
During the Kyrgyz ambassador’s meeting with President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Lin Songtian, issues of interregional cooperation, humanitarian exchange and the establishment of twin-city relations between the two countries’ regions were discussed.
Kanaiym Baktygulova also met with Vice-President of the Alibaba Group corporation Xiang Huangmei. At the meeting, prospects of promoting agricultural exports from the Kyrgyz Republic to China through the Alibaba platform were considered.
Besides, the delegation of the embassy made a speech on investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and China at a workshop on investment promotion of Tongcheng County, Hubei Province.
It also took part in the presentation on the development of investment and trade cooperation of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, within the framework of which a meeting was held with representatives of this enterprise to discuss cooperation in agricultural and trade and investment spheres.
