Two systems that come from the filter of the past… Those systems that are two balances at the center of the world today… The bridge arrives from ancient ages to today… I’m mentioning the civilization stairs of human relationships displayed today… War and Peace… Therefore I want to point out reflection of these two concepts in international relations… The necessity of these two different formations reaching to continents humanity spread to, succeeded in taking part among the concepts that rule the world today…
As you know today; while the world agenda is focused on Middle East; foreign politics carried out by other world countries follow the existing system and cause it to drive a way of politics at an international level. Even many politic definitions exist in the earth; in ruling the world, there are two points humanity arrives at. Peace and War… Brotherhood and Hatred… Love and Hate… The earth continues to exist at these two different poles… As you would appreciate, condition is not that much easy… Because at the same time, for ages, the cost of these two concepts is paid by the earth by a formation in it called life…
Then, at what stage does peace and war perceived in aspects of international relations and politics? A connoisseur… A philosopher that travel around the top levels of philosophy; Kant… It’s doubtless that his build-up made many ideas in international relations and politics to lay their foundations… Today, the world makes the use of his opinions in many areas… Kant has an important place among international society theorists… According to Kant, complete resolution of problems about domestic politics of governments won’t be possible as long as harmony at international level is not attained… And of course, the sole reason for me to mention him here is to propose a peace based on a series of rules, in order to attain harmony at international level… Let’s examine this understanding which may heal the world…
Today, when we look, it is seen that earth does not apply the indestructible rules of peace… And as a result of not obeying the rules, the world displays a concept of a civilian pain that picture the doomsday and a concept of a justice where its scale does not obtain a balance. But the sole truth at this point is “the governments that aim peace”. Therefore, these governments that aim peace will found federations intended for peace. As a result these federations will act tolerant against visitors coming from other governments and they will develop rights that identify world citizenship…
Even if this opinion of Kant is being tried to be applied to the world period to period, the fact that it is inadequate is easily understood from the social media, world statistics platforms and painful tears that are reflected to pictures… Peace envoys of the countries are an example of this…
Today, it is among the stable preconditions of permanent peace that a peace agreement is not recognized as a peace settlement if it contains a hidden intention within itself to enter into war again in a future date. If we look, the things that are being experienced in Israel and Palestine in the last period describe this condition. Signing an armistice agreement and then bombing again is not among the rules of peace, moreover it’s not in a dimension that meets the permanent attribute of it… Because, peace settlement also removes all kind of war reasons that are not known by the parties yet, but that may arise in the future.
Another rule is; an independent government, whether it is small or large, can’t be taken over by another government in ways of heritage, exchange or purchase… Today independent governments, which are close to borders of Turkey, were taken over by Kurdish parties last year… Another name of this behavior is to conquer… For a government is not a property apart from the grounds it’s founded on. Government consists of a community that can’t be dominated or ruled by any other identity other than itself. On the other hand, laying the roots on other governments is the end of moral personality of a government. This already conflicts with society agreement which is the basis of social rights.
Therefore, what kind of dangers does considering taking over a government by another government as a right is known by everybody, even in our time, and also in our near future, in Europe. As they are in the intention of gaining hegemonic power without much effort, it is known by everybody that governments may unite with each other in order to enlarge the land they own. In this respect; USA easily uses all economic, politic and also decision-making mechanisms as hegemonic power.
Therefore, when we look international geography of ongoing world, this is the scene we encounter… It’s doubtless that peace and war; two different poles… Two different choices… But when we put history of the world under examination; we see that the sole point hearts gather at is Permanent Peace and rules of it… As peace was life… Peace was humankind’s presenting life and beauty to the nature… And today, in Syria, in Palestine, in Africa and in Turkey’s east and west sides, weren’t the eyes wait with hope, peace signatures coming from the humanity, to centuries?
