TT News Asia : Karabakh
YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: Just hours after the well-known statement by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, the inimical states began to announce that the Turkish “peacekeepers” would also stand [at the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) conflict zone] along with the Russian peacekeepers.
Both the representative of the RF MFA [the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs] and the spokesperson of the Prime Minister of Armenia denied this on the same day.
However, the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem is not calming down, and it continues to push this theory.
According to our sources, the idea of the presence of Turkish “peacekeepers” [in the aforesaid conflict one] is actively supported by the West, collectively, and George Soros was more interested—with his social and political network. There is only one reason: not to allow Russia to further increase its influence in the region.
But in order not to make the Turks’ emergence in Artsakh seem too extreme, a mechanism was proposed, according to which the Russians “stand” on the side of the Armenians, the Turks—the Azerbaijanis; that is, the Armenians do not see the face of a Turk.
However, according to the information circulating, the Russian side strongly opposed [this proposal] and was able to prevent such intentions.
