Turkish energy minister has said that natural gas flow from Azerbaijan to Turkey resumed.
A statement by Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said on Wednesday that according to industrial production index figures, energy sector index rose by 4.5 percent in August. “Energy sector has to grow more than the country’s growth rate. The figures by the Turkish statistics authority showed that energy sector continues to grow,” he said.
Yildiz said that an explosion that occurred on October 3 on a section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline in the Sarikamis district in eastern province of Kars halted natural gas flow from Azerbaijan, adding that the gas flow resumed as of October 9.
