Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said regarding Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s speech that Assad offered nothing new.
Davutoglu held a press conference in western province of Izmir where the Fifth Ambassadors Conference was held.
Assad did not offer a new approach in his address and the ideas included in the proposal were already discussed in his meeting with Assad two years ago, he said.
Davutoglu said that the international community must take urgent action on sending humanitarian aid to Syria.
In regard to recent initiatives in combating terrorism, Davutoglu said that the government could talk to anyone who might be influential in the fight against terrorism.
