Davutoglu and the Syrian opposition leaders exchanged views over the opposition’s plans for future.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu received a delegation from the Syria National Council in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
The meeting the Ankara Palas was held closed to press.
Davutoglu later hosted a dinner for the council delegation and a separate delegation from the Syrian National Coalition.
According to Turkish diplomatic sources with insight to the meeting, Davutoglu and the Syrian oppositionleaders exchanged views over the opposition’s plans for the future.
Davutoglu also called on the Syrian National Coalition to appoint an envoy to Turkey, which had earlier announced that it had recognized the coalition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
