Turkey’s Religious Affairs Directorate is set to receive a share of next year’s budget that exceeds the allocations for 11 ministries, including major ones like the Interior and Foreign ministries.
With an increase of close to 1 billion Turkish Liras to its current budget of 3,89 billion liras, the Religious Affairs Ministry will receive a larger budget share than the Interior; Health; Science, Industry and Technology; Environment and Urban Planning; Culture and Tourism; Foreign; Energy and Natural Sources; Development; andEuropean Union ministries.
The directorate will receive a total of 4.6 billion liras in the new budget, making it the 12th richest Turkish institution.
