Trade volume of free zones in Turkey was up by 9.1 percent to 13.5 billion U.S. dollars year-on-year between January and July 2012.
According to the figures by the Ministry of Economy, trade volume of free zones had been 12.3 billion U.S. dollars in the same period of 2011.
The highest trade volume was recorded in the Aegean Free Zone with 3.2 billion U.S. dollars. The figure from this zone was 2.4 billion U.S. dollars in the same period last year.
