A rocket has killed at least one person after striking near a school in the border province of Kilis, close to the Syrian border, with a further two rockets striking in close by but empty areas.
The rocket was reportedly fired from Syria and hit a school garden, killing a female school cleaner and injuring a female student who was taken to hospital, according to a statement from the provincial governor’s office.
Reuters has since reported that the Turkish military has released a statement that it has retaliated “in kind” to the attack, launching attacks on ISIS in Syria.
