The Turkish government has denied a human tights group’s claims that it has killed more than 100 Kurdish civilians during recent operations in the country’s south east.
The Turkish government claims that the main reason why civilians die in the region is the presence of the PKK there.
The Turkish military and the outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) have been in intense conflicts in the south east of the country since a 2013 ceasefire collapsed in July 2015.
As a response to the report, the Turkish giver stated that the PKK was responsible for the civilian deaths in the region.
