Turkey posted a letter to the UN Security Council on June 24 over Syria’s shooting down of a Turkish military plane in the easterly of Mediterranean Sea 2 days previously.
The letter, released by the New York Times, addresses the shooting incident a “dangerous threat to peace and security in the area” and gives information on the co-ordinates of the location where the plane was struck and where it went down.
Both Turkish and Syrian radar and radio records showed that the plane was shot down in international air space and added up that “thirds parties’ radar records would substantiate these facts as well.”
