Turkey will fully repay its debt to the IMF by April 2013, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday, TRT Haber reported.
“Turkey’s economy shows a steady growth over the last 10 years. This has resulted in Turkey paying off the full debt to the IMF by April 2013,” Erdogan said.
The prime minister noted that Ankara also intends to provide a loan to the IMF to the amount of $5 billion.
Erdogan noted that one of the achievements of his government was the fact that Turkey achieved redenomination in 2005.
