Turkish EU minister said that Turkey’s EU membership would create a win-win situation for both sides.
EU should be aware of the value of Turkey, EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said at a conference on Turkey’s EU bid at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Berlin, Germany.
Bagis said that they regarded the EU project as the most successful peace project of the history of humanity.
“Common interests and rapidly changing global dynamics make Turkey-EU integration essential and important. Turkey will play a key role in the EU’s reaching a more powerful, more secure and more stable future,” he said.
If Turkey became a full member of the EU, the Union would be successful globally, he said.
Bagis said that the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s activities in Turkey were of a special importance, stating that these activities made Turkey and Germany as well as Turkish and German people more closer.
